Sprout (“we”, “our”) is published by Stive Hassan (operating as WebGeeks AI). This policy explains what we collect — which is nothing — and how the app handles your information.

TL;DR

Sprout collects no personal data. There is no account, no login, no analytics, no cloud sync, and no third-party SDKs. Every plant you add lives only on your phone.

What data Sprout stores

Sprout stores the following only on your device, in a local SQLite database inside the app’s sandbox:

• Plants you add (name, room, watering frequency, optional notes)
• Optional photos you attach (stored as files in the app’s local storage)
• Watering records (timestamps + optional notes)
• App preferences (notification time, theme, week-start)

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly:

• Use Apple iCloud Backup or Google Auto Backup at the OS level (controlled by you in system settings; we are not involved).
• Hand your phone to someone else.

Notifications

Sprout schedules one local notification per day at the time you choose, via Apple’s UserNotifications framework on iOS or Android’s local notification API. These notifications are generated entirely on your device — they don’t touch our servers, because we don’t operate any servers for Sprout.

You can disable notifications at any time in your phone’s system settings.

Photos

If you choose to attach a photo to a plant, Sprout requests access to your camera or photo library via the platform’s permission flow. The selected photo is copied (downscaled to ≤1080px) into Sprout’s sandboxed app storage. The original photo is not modified. No photo data is uploaded anywhere.

What we do not do

• We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
• We do not have user accounts or logins.
• We do not use third-party analytics, crash reporters, or advertising SDKs.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
• We do not sell, share, or rent any data because we don’t have any.

Payment processing

Sprout is a one-time paid app. Payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). Sprout never sees, stores, or transmits payment information.

Children

Sprout does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

If we ever change this policy, we will update the date at the top and post the new version here. Substantive changes will be noted in app release notes.
